10 Ways to Enjoy the Outdoors this Fall

The fall is such a great season to live in the desert! The weather cools off and we all appreciate living here just a little bit more.

We all can benefit from some extra time outdoors these days, so take a look at the list of some fun fall ideas.

  • Get out your golf clubs and play a round of golf - Check out courses throughout the state of Arizona and find just the one that fits your comfort level. Arizona has some great public courses.

  • Get outdoors and go for a hike! Arizona is covered in trails all for you to explore. I’m always a fan of hiking at the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, Black Mountain Trail, or Pilot Knob.

  • Pack a lunch and head out for a picnic - Click here for a few ideas of what to pack for your lunch and enjoy your adventure.

  • Enjoy a bike ride - Take an afternoon to explore your area on local bike paths.

  • Take in the views of the hot air balloons at the Colorado River Crossing Balloon Festival, which will be held November 18-20. Attendees will view the launches from their vehicles. Click here for additional info.

  • Visit the Desert Botanical Gardens. There are several festive events planned at the gardens. October 29th and 30th is a 2-day Dia de Los Muertos festival.

  • Visit the Imperial Sand Dunes and enjoy the views!

  • Dine al fresco! Turn on your grill and make a delicious meal all in the comfort of your own backyard. Start planning your menu with this list to inspire you.
